smithsonian museum in chantilly is expected to plead guilty today. he and two other people stole at least $400,000 from the facility. it started in 2009. another former attendant pleaded guilty last week. >> a special honor for fauquier county teenager killed last month in a car crash. homecoming football game at liberty high school will be dedicated to ian heflin. he was on his way to school when the car he was riding in hit a tree. his sister was seriously injured. a third person, a teenage driver was not injured. >> investigators trying to find out what caused a fire at an apartment building in northwest that sent four people to the hospital. it broke out thursday night on k street. flames quickly engulfed the building. two people on the third floor had to be rescued with a ladder truck.

>> if it had been three minutes later, we would have to do jumping. i could. feel the flames under could. >> one man tried to climb out of the third storyalling. he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. three other people hospitalized including two women with smoke inhalation and a firefighter whose hand was burned. turning to business news, a social security administration under pressure to cut costs. >> remember the loose seats on american airlines planes, that could cause more delays and cancellations. now more details from linda bell in new york. >> happy friday. it's a big day on wall street. today's jobs data. the labor department numbers are out at. 8:30 this at stock index futures little taint. social security offices are cutting hours to shave on overtime costs. the offices around the country will shut their doors 30 minutes early starting november 19.

the offices will also close at noon on wednesdays starting next year. the last time budget issues forced it to shorten our to the public was last august. the lose seats on american airlines may be a public relations nightmare and it will hurt the carrier financially. an analyst tells us that american now risks having to tappan's to its bankruptcy- front. an american spokesperson says more flights may be delayed or canceled as they continue to investigate. through all of this, the carrier says safety and reliability are its top priority. macdonald is diving deeper into coffee grounds. and starbucks's pumpkin spice blocked -- latte is getting even more elusive. more later. >> 60 degrees outside. much more to come.

>> an american tourist open up fire in a hotel into a resort city. we can pull up a picture so you can get a sense of what the area looks like. it is a large resort area with a lot of hotels. it is a report of a young american possibly in an exchange program and was living at the hotel. the hotel is called the leonardo club. it's on the red sea. he was in the hotel and took a gun from the security guard and then shot somebody with the gun. one person has been killed. no identity on that person nor the gunman. there are some reports right now within the past couple of minutes coming out of israel that they the gunman had
